The poetry of the earth is never dead. ~ John Keats
Love for our earth reaches much farther then recycling, turning off lights, and watching An Inconvenient Truth. Since the Romantics’ took nature as their sword and shield against the rising industrial tide, poetry has played an integral part of environmental studies. UW’s Earth Club is championing this creative-side to eco-responsibility by hosting a poetry reading at Trabant Chai Lounge. No experience is necessary, but to reserve a spot on the poetry schedule, you must contact uwearth@u.washington.edu
