Carla DeSantis is the nation’s leading advocate for women in rock. A former
musician and music industry veteran, Carla rose to prominence as the
founder, publisher and editor-in-chief of the ground-breaking and
award-winning ROCKRGRL Magazine (1994-2005), the only national publication
for female musicians.
An entertaining lecturer, her mission is to shine a light on the past and
present challenges for women in music. Carla believes the key to success for
women in rock is to encourage the music industry to increase the visibility
of inspirational female role models and ensure that women’s voices are
represented and heard.
