Tip Toland at the Bellevue Arts Museum, Only Through February 8th!

7 Jan

If you still haven’t been to the BAM to see the exhibit by Tip Toland, you have a few weeks left! I was so impressed on my first trip, I had to return two more times to share it with friends and family. This is the kind of work that you have to see in person!
Tip Toland’s: MELT

“Much like life, Tip Toland’s work can be poetic, passionate, and now and again, unsettling. Her incredibly life-like sculptures – laboriously constructed of clay, stoneware, synthetic hair and paint – capture our bodies at their most vulnerable: naked, aging, exposed to the ravages of time and the elements. Yet at the heart of her work there is compassion, playfulness, and above all, acceptance of self.” (http://www.bellevuearts.org/exhibitions/current/tip_toland.htm)
