DXARTS Film Series Continues with a Halloween Theme

Kick off the Halloween spirit with:

5pm: A mystery collection of themed shorts

5:45pm: Nosferatu, A Symphony of Horror
directed by F.W. Murnau – 1922
(Run time: 94 min)
The first cinematic adaptation of Bram Stoker’s novel, Dracula. Fun Fact: Bram Stoker’s widow won two lawsuits against Murnau for the unauthorized adaptation of Stoker’s novel Dracula. She demanded the destruction of all copies of the film but it had become so popular (in part from the publicity of the law suit) that reproductions were too widespread and the film survived.

Date: Tuesday, 10/28 5pm
Where: University of Washington Raitt Hall – Room 121

As always, there’s popcorn and other snacks available. Feel free to bring your own.

Optional open forum discussion after the screening.
