Late Night Improv at the Taproot Theatre — until June 13th–

30 May

I love it when the actors are visibly drunk on stage. Late night improv is like the little window into the theatre world that is usually carried on unsuspectingly backstage. Pranks, shenanginans, drugs/alcohol, and of course– fabulous acting! Thus, I wholly support this event and give it my praises:

“GO FORTH!: An Improv Adventure”
A brand new show created by Darrell Olson and Danny Walter
New grads, fathers and all those who love them, beware! Life is full of discoveries, challenges, failures and triumphs. In this improvised tale of adventure, Taproot’s actor’s use the audience’s suggestions as the building blocks for a performance of epic (and hilarious) proportions!

Fridays, May 23-June 13, at 10:15 p.m.*
Late-Night Improv will start around 10:15, or 15 minutes after the Mainstage show ends.

Ticket Prices

Tickets are just $10, or $8 with your ticket to Over the River and Through the Woods.

Thanks so much for your review of our show! I’m glad you had fun and enjoyed it.

Now I hesitate to shatter the mystic of the theatre world, (and maybe you won’t believe this) but I can assure you that none of the actors in Go Forth were even a little bit drunk.

We are just a bunch of great friends who have a blast doing improv together. Here’s the dirty little secret: We’re up there more to make each other laugh than the audience. That said we feed off the audience as well. The really weird thing is we are only as funny as our audience.

It always makes me smile when it is assumed that we can’t have that much fun unless alcohol is involved.

Believe me doing improv is hard enough sober. I can’t imagine what a train wreck it would be if even one of us was drunk or high.

Anyway, thanks again for your kind words about our show, and I hope you come again, and bring your friends, because the bigger the audience the better the show!
