Used Book Sale on-campus

10 Feb

Speaking for myself, I fear the U-Bookstore. It’s hard for me to even make a purchase at Barnes and Noble nowadays. Seattle is teeming with used-book sellers that not only recycle literature, but also support small-business owners. I avow never to let the quaint bookshop novelty die to big corporate booksellers. And there is my Seattle liberal rant of the day.

If paying full price for books scares you too, come check out the Association of Library and Information Science Students Annual Booksale. The event takes place at By George Cafe this Tuesday (February 12th) and Wednesday (February 13th), and is entirely student run. The profits taken from the used books, DVDs, and CDs goes to profit student grant requests to attend national conferences as well as other professional development for the iSchool.
