Thursday, February 7, 2008 – 7:00 PM Henry Art Gallery

In conjunction with the exhibition Dawn Cerny: We’re All Going to Die (Except for You) Sandra Kroupa (UW Libraries) will discuss late 19th century mourning rituals and customs. Kroupa is a book arts and rare books curator who collects objects and ephemera related to these distinct and fascinating traditions.

The Painting MFAs will be hosting an open studio night on Friday, Feb. 8th
Studios and gallery will be open, food and drinks provided. Free and open to the public.

SANAA Exhibition Artist Lecture

Saturday, February 9, 2008 – 5:00 PM Kane 130 Details

In conjunction with the Henry Art Gallery’s SANAA exhibition, architect Kazuyo Sejima will present a lecture highlighting her firm’s design process. The lecture will provide a rare opportunity to hear about a unique body of work that challenges the boundaries separating architecture and art. Cost: $10 members / $15 general / $12 students and seniors. Tickets available through Brown Paper Tickets.
