Specifically designed for freshmen and sophomores, this introductory workshop provides University of Washington students with information to begin the scholarship search and to develop a competitive edge for merit-based scholarships. Please

Beinecke Scholarship for Juniors

Are you a junior interested in pursuing graduate study in the arts, humanities, or social sciences? If so, you may be eligible to apply for the Beinecke Scholarship. This scholarship provides $32,000 for graduate study to juniors of exceptional ability and achievement.
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
* Be a junior in the 2007-2008 school year. For the purposes of this
scholarship, “junior” is defined as a fulltime student who expects to
graduate between December 2008 and August 2009.
* Be a U.S. citizen or U.S. national from American Samoa or the
Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
* Demonstrate superior standards of intellectual ability, scholastic
achievement, and personal promise during your undergraduate career. A
University of Washington transcript is necessary; if you are a new
transfer student to the University of Washington, you are not
eligible for this award.
* Have a documented history of receiving need based financial aid
during your undergraduate years.
* Plan to attend graduate school in the arts, humanities, or social
sciences.
